What is Stitch Fix?

In my blog I bring up Stitch Fix a lot and I am here to tell you all about it.

Stitch Fix, explained

This is a styling service where they gather items from different categories to send to you, this is called a fix. This service does not require a subscription. This service lets you schedule a fix on demand and set up automatic deliveries that fits your schedule. You can even purchase items instantly. This is also something you can try once to see if it fits your needs. This is also about expanding your style, by trying on stuff you wouldn’t normally try on. They can help you if there are specific items you are searching for as well.

How you start

When you first sign up, you create your style profile. You enter a lot of details.Such as your sizes, body shape, down to the proportions, how you want the clothes to fit, and how much you want to spend on each category. As part of your profile, you can also link any other social networks you are part of. This will help the stylist understand, further, your style.

How often can you get a fix

As part of your profile settings you get to customize how often you get a fix. As mentioned in the beginning, Stitch Fix is not a subscription. They give you the option to try it once, get a fix on demand, or schedule a fix when it works best for you. If you don’t want to set up automatic deliveries, they also give you the option to buy outfits instantly from their site that they have curated for you based on your profile. If you do like it and decide to set up automatic deliveries, you will set up how often you want to receive your fix. You can choose if you want a fix every week, down to once a month, or even every two to three months. Stitch Fix is very customizable and is there to meet all your fashion needs.

What are the categories

They have seven categories and they are tops, bottoms, dresses, outer layers, jewelry, shoes, and accessories.

What it cost

The cost is $20 plus whatever decide to keep. The $20 will be for the Fix Service which covers the fee for the stylists expertise and time to put together you fix. This also gets credited towards anything you keep. As part of your profile, you get to pick the price range you are comfortable with, on each category item. For example, maybe you want to spend more money on bottoms instead of tops or jewelry. You specify this in your ‘Luxe Preferences.’ Their price range for all the categories are from $25 – $500. You’ll also, get a 25% discount if you chose to keep all the item you receive from your fix.

More about shipping

The shipping, returns, and exchanges are free. They will send you a shipping bag with a prepaid label to send back the items you don’t keep. Then you just drop it off at the post office. They also ship in the UK, but you have to go on the UK Stitch Fix site.

What are the sizes

They have a great range in sizes for women. They also carry petite and maternity sizes. I love it for their petite sizes.Their sizes for women range from XS – XXL with plus size in 14W – 24W, 1X -3X. The selection is sizes is what makes this great for everyone.

What brands does Stitch Fix Sell

One of the many reasons why I love this subscription is because of the exclusive brands they use. I cannot tell you how many times i’ve searched for some of these brands and cannot find them, although they do sell other known brands. They do sell are brands such as Pistola, KUT, Lucky Brand, Paige, Liverpool, Gorjana jewelry, Vince Camuto, Level 99, Free People, and Cole Haan. Some of the exclusive brands they sell are Market & Spruce, 41 Hawthron, Truly Poppy, and Brixon Ivy just to name a few.

Why I love it

I love Stitch Fix for many reasons and here is why. They sell petite sizes, they have access to exclusive brands, they send me new styles that are trending, and I can even make a request for a special item if i’m going to an event. They will also curate outfits for you based on items you have kept as well as offer you new curated outfit ideas that you can purchase immediately. You can either purchase the entire outfit or just one piece from the curated outfits. They are constantly updating their style quizzes where you get to vote on if you’d wear an item or not. Its all to help the stylist handpick your items. Their entire selection is constantly being updated with new items. They also have Stitch Fix for kids and men.
